About

yashovardhan

I’m a Developer Relations person with a knack for JavaScript. Having recently moved into Community Management, I owe my involvement with the various open source communities for putting me on this ultimate career path.

My aim is to empower student developers across India and the countries in the Asia Pacific region to find a place in the welcoming world of open source — and help them hone their skills to compete with the international standards.

Notably, I’ve hosted some of the top international developer conferences like GitHub Universe 2020, MLH Hackcon 2020, MLH Local Hack Day and given talks about Open Source in 20+ institutes of India and abroad. I love sharing my ideas, be it through my writings or by taking sessions, hosting conferences or being around at tech events!

Hackathon Community Manager - APAC & EU

My current role aims at managing and owning the Asia Pacific region for a US-based firm, Major League Hacking (MLH). The major countries of focus are India, Singapore & Australia. Additionally, I’m also handling the European and partly North American regions, overlapping with my timezone, making strategic plans on each aspect of the Hackathon League.
